Hanshi Steven Roensch holds a 9th Degree Black Belt Shintoyoshin-Kai Jiu-Jitsu and a 7th Degree Black Belt Shuri-Ryu Karatedo. He is the National Director of the American Budokai Society and founder of the American Budokai International. In 2003, Hanshi earned his Doctor of Oriental Medicine Degree. He currently resides in the mountains of North Carolina where he owns / operates "The Healing Center" ~ Center for Acupuncture Therapy as well as "Blue Ridge Martial Arts Academy".
American Budokai International was founded by Hanshi Steven Roensch former owner of West Coast Martial Arts Academy in Sarasota, Florida. ABI was established to provide a prestigious parent organization for various traditional martial arts including Shintoyoshinkai Combat Jiu Jitsu, Okinawan Shuri-ryu Karatedo, Tae Kwon Do, Shorei-ryu, Shorin-ryu, Goju-ryu, Wado-ryu, Danzan-ryu and Shito-ryu to name just a few.
